Message from the Managing Director
What an interesting 6 months it has been since our last Newsletter!!! Our thoughts go out to the people affected by the pandemic and if we can help in any way please get in touch asap.
The Renewable Energy industry has been quite resilient during these times, though not immune. We have seen recruitment volumes decrease for a period of time, however not stop altogether. There has been an increase in Casual or Fixed Term Contract hiring, and Development phase recruitment has remained strong (possibly given the long gestation period of projects).
We are delighted to announce that Daniel Gallen has joined our team and opened up Phillip Riley in New Zealand. Daniel has 13+ years of Energy & Engineering recruitment and will be focusing on Power and Infrastructure recruitment across NZ and the Pacific Islands.
In industry news, NSW first renewable zone attracts stunning 27GW of solar, wind, storage proposals , Snowy 2.0 gets federal approval, Infigen tells shareholders to stick with Iberdrola, Squadron Energy & Federation Asset Management invests in Windlab, Rob Grant joins Fortescue Metals and targets zero emissions by 2040 and Paul Simshauser commenced as CEO of Powerlink.
As we enter a new Financial Year in Australia, we will be releasing our Annual Renewable Energy Remuneration Report however this time we will be adding Remuneration information and sentiment for the Transmission Sector, as well as covering roles in New Zealand. If you are interested in receiving a copy of the Report or if you have been affected by Covid-19 and think we can help, please email me at [email protected].
Otherwise stay safe and all the best
Regards,
Scott Robinson
