A rapidly growing energy technology business specialising in the commercial and operational optimisation of renewable generation and energy storage assets. The organisation combines advanced analytics, market expertise, and proprietary systems to maximise asset performance and revenue outcomes across global energy markets. Its multidisciplinary team brings together specialists in trading, data, software engineering, and renewable asset operations, united by a shared focus on supporting the energy transition.

Responsibilities:
- Financial Reconciliations & Issue Resolution
Review and reconcile internal trading and operational data against market operator and counterparty statements. Investigate variances, prepare supporting documentation, and manage the resolution of discrepancies to ensure accurate financial outcomes.
- Performance & Revenue Reporting
Produce regular reporting on asset performance, realised revenues (contracted and merchant), and compliance with commercial or warranty arrangements. Monitor portfolio outcomes and analyse wholesale market behaviour to understand key drivers of performance.
- Client Reporting & Data Delivery
Work closely with internal teams to define reporting requirements and ensure accurate, timely delivery of settlement and performance data through client-facing platforms or reporting tools.
- Data & Systems Management
Maintain and update internal settlement and metering datasets, ensuring calculations remain aligned with evolving market rules, contractual frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Provide clear and timely communication to clients regarding settlement positions, financial exposures, payment notices, and the impacts of market outcomes.
- Audit & Compliance Support
Maintain robust records of settlement activity and certificate movements to support internal controls, audits, and regulatory reviews.
- Asset Onboarding Support
Lead settlement and reporting activities for new assets entering the portfolio, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to validate technical, operational, and market registration information.

Skills & Experience:
- Background in settlements, billing, or financial operations within energy, utilities, or commodities markets
- Strong working knowledge of Australian wholesale electricity market processes and settlement frameworks
- Advanced analytical capability, including Excel-based modelling and reconciliation across multiple data sources
- Comfortable working with data analysis tools and structured datasets, including exposure to Python-based analytics or database querying
- High attention to detail and accuracy when working with complex, high-value financial data
- Confident communicator able to explain technical financial issues to both commercial and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience collaborating with technology or development teams to enhance reporting or automation processes
