One of Australia’s most successful developers is looking for a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join their team in Melbourne. This is a true end-to-end developer, from land acquisition through to owning and operating their asset.
As a senior power systems engineer, you’ll be exposed to the full lifecycle of the projects – from feasibility studies through to commissioning. You’ll be someone who enjoys managing stakeholders, able to approach AEMO/NSP’s negotiations with confidence and you’ll thrive in the technical detail.
The business runs all technical studies in-house, so you’ll get a role which tailors to both the NER compliance and simulation side of grid connection. With 10 projects in the pipeline across Hybrid Solar, Wind and BESS, there is no shortage of variety to be had.
Your background?
Whether you have 4 or 10 years’ experience, you’ll be someone who enjoys their craft, is passionate about reaching net zero and can lead utility scale renewable energy projects. An ideal background would look like;
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject area
- Have worked with PSS/E, PSCAD and PowerFactory for network modelling and static / dynamic compliance testing.
- Confident stakeholder management skills
- Good de-bugging skills – tuning models for control systems, inverters etc.
- Fully versed in NER compliance, including chapter 5, schedule 5.2
- True diversity of projects and technologies, including Hybrid and grid forming BESS
- Growth story – have tripled in size over the last 2 years
- Brand new offices in a central Melbourne location
