- Work on innovative storage products with unique architecture
- Develop into a people and project leadership role
- Work within a large, multi-disciplinary team
The Role
This position goes well beyond schematic capture. You’ll be taking designs from first concept through to fully validated hardware in production. That means building high-current power converters, developing PCB layouts in Altium that are robust and manufacturable, and ensuring everything meets EMC, EMI, and UL/CE safety standards. Day-to-day, you’ll be running design reviews, debugging tricky circuits, and supporting the transition into production.
Collaboration is central — you’ll work closely with software, test, and mechanical teams to make sure designs are commercially viable, not just technically elegant. Just as importantly, you’ll help document processes, mentor junior engineers, and play a part in strengthening the capability of the wider team.
Ideal Background
- Degree (Bachelor, Masters or PhD) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Demonstrable background in power electronics and circuit verification.
- Solid understanding of compliance frameworks (UL/CE, EMC, Safety).
- Hands-on experience with analogue and digital circuit design (less emphasis on the digital side).
- Familiar with comms protocols such as SPI, I2C, RS485, and Ethernet PoE.
- Practical knowledge of design-for-manufacture principles.
- Experience with BMS
- Functional safety (e.g. IEC 60730 Class B).
- V-Model Development
This is a chance to join a company making a tangible impact on the clean energy transition.
