Full Job Description
A leading renewable energy developer is seeking a senior Development Lead to oversee a portfolio of large-scale projects in Queensland, including battery energy storage and renewable generation facilities.

Reporting to the Head of Development, you will lead a skilled team across multiple projects, managing them from development through to shovel-ready status, and act as the key regional liaison with stakeholders, regulators, and investors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Queensland portfolio, delivering projects to shovel-ready status for handover to execution teams
  • Lead and grow a high-performing regional development team
  • Engage with community, Traditional Owners, councils, and regulatory bodies to advance project approvals
  • Manage budgets, scheduling, risk, and reporting across multiple projects
  • Support investment approvals and reporting to investors
  • Integrate with execution teams to ensure smooth transition to construction
Ideal Candidate:
  • 10+ years in large-scale infrastructure, energy, or industrial project development
  • Proven experience in energy and infrastructure technology development, contracting, and deployment
  • Degree in engineering, law, environment, or planning; Project Management or Chartered Engineer qualifications preferred
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
  • Passionate about renewable energy & community development
