A global technology and energy company is expanding its residential energy storage business in Japan and is seeking a Senior Account Manager to drive partner growth and market expansion.

This is a high-impact, externally facing role suited to someone who enjoys building long-term partnerships, owning commercial outcomes, and operating in a fast-moving, technology-led environment.

The Role
You will be responsible for developing and managing key partners across Japan, including installers, energy retailers, and utilities. Working closely with internal technical, operations, and global teams, you will own sales planning, pipeline development, and quarterly targets for a rapidly growing product line.

The role combines strategic account management, new partner development, and hands-on execution, with strong visibility to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage high-performing partners across the residential energy ecosystem
  • Own sales planning, pipeline development, and quarterly targets
  • Identify and onboard new strategic partners to support growth objectives
  • Act as a trusted commercial partner to installers, retailers, and utilities
  • Gather and relay market feedback to internal product and technical teams
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and support partner negotiations
  • Deliver accurate forecasts and share market insights internally
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years' experience in B2B sales or account management
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy, storage, or adjacent technology markets
  • Experience managing partners or channels rather than purely transactional sales
  • Native-level Japanese and strong business English
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a global organisation
  • Self-driven, organised, and effective in a fast-growth environment
