About the role

This role provides technical support and engineering expertise for the design, documentation, and delivery of BESS projects across Australia.
You will assist senior engineers, develop electrical designs, produce CAD drawings, and support commissioning and operational activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead electrical design activities, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and project requirements
• Develop and maintain engineering drawings, schematics, cable schedules, BOMs, and design documentation
• Provide technical guidance to EPCs, OEMs, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams
• Support project commissioning, FAT/SAT activities, and energisation readiness
• Identify technical risks, clarify design requirements, and contribute to constructability and hazard reviews

Skills / qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 4–6 years’ relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV design, protection basics, earthing principles, and electrical fundamentals
• Experience producing single-line diagrams, schematics, switchboard drawings, and engineering documentation
• Familiarity with BESS, renewable energy, or power system projects (advantageous)
• Excellent written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and collaborative skills
