About the company
Phillip Riley are working exclusively with a national contractor delivering major renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects across Australia. They are known for their collaborative culture, trusted client relationships, and a leadership team that is approachable, experienced, and supportive. With strong growth ahead, they are now appointing an executive-level Project Director to oversee two upcoming BESS programs in NSW.

About the role
This position will lead the full life-cycle delivery of two major BESS projects, ensuring strong commercial, safety, and operational outcomes. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide strategic direction, build high-performing teams, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. The role requires a senior leader with deep electrical project experience and confidence managing complex, multi-disciplinary delivery.
  • Executive-level position reporting directly to the CEO
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of two large-scale BESS projects across NSW
  • Oversee governance, safety, commercial outcomes, and stakeholder engagement
  • Build and mentor multi-disciplinary engineering and construction teams
  • Drive successful project completion with strong client relationships and commercial performance
Skills / Qualifications
  • Proven Project Director experience on major electrical or EPC infrastructure projects
  • Background in renewables, ideally with utility-scale BESS exposure
  • Strong commercial, contract, and financial management capability
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted client and stakeholder relationships
  • Degree in Engineering (electrical preferred) and formal project management credentials
