PPA Origination Manager

We are currently working with a leading global Renewable Energy developer who are looking to a add a Senior Manager (AD), Originator / BDM to be based in Sydney or Melbourne

Key Focus:

• Originate and execute PPAs and structured energy contracts.
• Engage directly with large corporates, industrial clients, and energy retailers.
• Lead the full deal lifecycle – from market strategy to contract negotiation and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and close tailored energy deals, including firmed renewables and products
• Build and manage senior-level relationships across Industrials and Commercial platforms to drive a robust pipeline.
• Develop a national buyer network to support project commercialisation and market growth.
• Lead the full deal lifecycle—from structuring and pricing through to negotiation and execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, Legal, Investment, Markets) to align on risk and deal terms.
• Prepare commercial materials, term sheets, and contracts.
• Monitor market and regulatory trends to refine strategy and offerings.
• Support investment approvals with commercial cases and executive briefings.
• Represent the business at industry forums and client engagements.

Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years in energy origination, corporate PPAs, or structured energy sales.
• Proven track record of closing complex energy transactions.
• Strong network and senior relationships in the Australian energy market.
• Deep understanding of electricity markets and contract structures (e.g., PPA, sleeved, retail).
• Commercially strategic with strong financial and risk analysis skills.
• Excellent communicator and negotiator with high initiative and ownership.
• Degree in Finance, Commerce, Engineering, Law, or similar; MBA preferred.
