Director of Environment & Sustainability

Sydney or Melbourne | Advisory Services | Infrastructure Focus

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Environment & Sustainability to join our clients, a specialist advisory group, partnering with public sector clients on some of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects.
As a senior leader, you will bring deep expertise in environmental management, sustainability strategy, and infrastructure advisory, guiding clients to deliver projects that meet ambitious sustainability, compliance, and community outcomes.

About the Role
  • Lead and grow our environment and sustainability advisory offering, with a focus on major infrastructure projects.
  • Partner with government and public sector clients to provide strategic advice across the project lifecycle, from planning and approvals to delivery and reporting.
  • Drive thought leadership in areas such as sustainable infrastructure, climate resilience, ESG integration, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of consultants, fostering collaboration and capability growth.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulators, ensuring advice is both commercially sound and environmentally responsible.
About You
  • Proven leadership experience in professional services or consulting, ideally at Director level (or ready to step up).
  • Strong track record advising government clients on complex infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise in environmental assessment, approvals, sustainability strategy, and climate risk as they relate to infrastructure.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to build client relationships and develop new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
