Key Responsibilities
- Check and manage material inventory; notify management when reorders are required.
- Prepare allocated materials to required lengths and specifications.
- Interpret and plan machining operations from engineering drawings, plans, or 3D models.
- Create and modify CNC programs (longhand, conversational, or imported) for optimal machine performance.
- Conduct first-run verifications to ensure parts meet quality and specification standards.
- Perform regular machine maintenance and meet production goals set by the production planner.
- Work across multiple machines and jobs as priorities shift.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to support production, design, and engineering needs.
- Assist with fitting, assembly, and composite material projects as required.
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls (essential).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and models.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Mastercam programming experience.
- Forklift licence and/or Gantry Ticket.
