We are looking for a Principal Primary Design Engineer to join our award winning client in Melbourne, who have extensive project pipeline and are renowned in the industry. In this role you will work on HV substation and primary network projects across Australia and provide technical leadership across all primary systems design.
About the role:
- Direct the design of substation primary systems according to Australian standards
- Lead the advanced primary design, network modelling, optimisation and studies for large-scale substation and primary network projects
- Subject matter expert across all projects acting as the primary technical contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic oversight of all projects to enhance project delivery and efficiency
Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years experience in a Senior Primary Design role, with exceptional understanding of primary network engineering with a focus on substations and power systems
- Client engagement skills with the ability to build long-term relationships and repeat business
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering certified by Engineers Australia
- Strong leadership abilities, proven experience mentoring junior engineers or willingness to do so
