Our client is a leading Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Contractor
delivering major infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Australia partnering with clients to deliver large-scale transmission, substation, and generation projects that will power Australia's energy future.
About the Role
Reporting to Senior Management, you will take ownership of testing and commissioning activities from tender through to project delivery and operational readiness. This is a pivotal role ensuring all high voltage assets are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in line with client, contractual, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate commissioning teams across projects, ensuring seamless delivery from planning through to handover.
- Oversee preparation, execution, and documentation of all testing and commissioning activities in line with technical, safety, and contractual requirements.
- Manage quality assurance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder relationships, including subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Deliver operator training and ensure the smooth transition of commissioned assets into service.
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with extensive high-voltage expertise.
- 15+ years' experience in commissioning and completion of substations, transmission lines, and renewable generation projects.
- Strong leadership skills with proven success in managing teams, subcontractors, and complex project delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management, with the ability to influence and deliver outcomes.
