George leads the Phillip Riley Melbourne office and a national team delivering specialist recruitment across the renewable energy, energy storage, data centre and electric vehicle sectors. The team covers wind (onshore and offshore), solar, BESS, hydro, pumped hydro and waste-to-energy. They recruit at every stage of a project, from development and pre-construction through to project delivery, grid and power systems, construction, commercial, asset management, and energy markets and trading.
George works with renewable developers, IPPs, OEMs, cleantech innovators, consultants, government and advisory firms across the development, finance, delivery and operational sides of the clean energy value chain.
He brings more than 20 years of recruitment experience. As Managing Director of his previous business, George grew a three-person Melbourne team into a multi-state organisation of 70 people, placing 2,000 candidates a year across key sectors. Along the way, he built a culture known for long tenure and strong retention. It’s why he believes the real measure of recruitment success is the calibre of the people placed, and how long they stay.
