An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a rapidly growing renewable energy platform delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of utility-scale energy infrastructure projects across Australia’s National Electricity Market (NEM).
This role sits within the Program Management Office (PMO) and will play a critical role in the procurement and commercial delivery of large-scale wind, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and transmission infrastructure projects.

The Opportunity
As Procurement Manager, you will lead strategic procurement activities across the full project lifecycle — from early contractor engagement and supplier qualification through to tender management, commercial negotiation, and execution of major supply and EPC agreements.
You will work closely with development, engineering, legal, finance, and executive leadership teams to deliver bankable commercial outcomes that support project financing, risk management, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Commercial Management
- Develop procurement strategies aligned with project delivery objectives
- Lead supplier engagement, tender processes, and commercial negotiations
- Manage procurement of major equipment, EPC contracts, and long-term service agreements
- Build and maintain strategic supplier and contractor relationships
- Monitor market conditions, supply chain risks, and procurement trends
- Lead commercial engagement with wind turbine OEMs and BESS technology providers
- Negotiate turbine supply agreements, battery supply contracts, and long-term service agreements
- Support technology selection, supplier evaluation, and delivery scheduling
- Secure delivery slots and reservation agreements in constrained global supply markets
- Ensure procurement outcomes meet lender and investor bankability requirements
- Develop procurement strategies for civil, electrical, and infrastructure works
- Manage competitive tendering and contractor evaluation processes
- Negotiate EPC and BOP contract terms, pricing structures, warranties, and risk allocation
- Coordinate closely with engineering and delivery teams to manage interface risks and project schedules
- Maintain procurement risk registers and monitor commercial exposure
- Support foreign exchange and contractual risk management activities
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and procurement policies
- Drive continuous improvement across procurement systems and processes
You are a commercially astute procurement professional with strong experience across renewable energy, infrastructure, or major capital projects.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, Law, Supply Chain, or related discipline
- 7+ years’ experience in procurement, commercial, or contracts management
- Strong experience across renewable energy projects, ideally wind and/or BESS
- Demonstrated capability negotiating EPC, OEM, LTSA, or major supply agreements
- Strong understanding of project finance and bankability requirements
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex, multi-party commercial negotiations
