The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you'll provide technical leadership across utility-scale wind and renewable energy projects from development through to construction and commercial operation.
Working closely with development, commercial, procurement, finance and project management teams, you'll act as the technical authority across major projects, ensuring engineering excellence throughout procurement, construction, commissioning and project delivery.
This position will suit someone who enjoys being involved throughout the entire project lifecycle and wants to make a genuine impact on Australia's energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across utility-scale wind and renewable energy developments.
• Lead technical engagement with wind turbine OEMs throughout procurement, design and project delivery.
• Oversee civil balance of plant (cBOP) delivery, including foundations, roads, drainage and associated civil infrastructure.
• Manage technical interfaces between OEMs, contractors, consultants and Owner's Engineers.
• Support technical due diligence, lender requirements and investment decision processes.
• Review engineering documentation, technical specifications and contractor submissions.
• Identify, assess and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support commissioning, operations readiness and project handover activities.
• Contribute to project governance, delivery frameworks and engineering best practice.

About You

You'll be an experienced renewable energy engineer with a passion for delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Ideally, you'll bring:

• A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• 7+ years' experience delivering utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Strong experience working within a Developer, Owner's Engineer, EPC, OEM or major project delivery environment.
• Demonstrated experience delivering utility-scale wind projects.
• Knowledge of wind turbine technologies, OEM procurement and technical interface management.
• Experience managing civil balance of plant (cBOP) packages through construction.
• Working understanding of electrical balance of plant (eBOP), substations and grid connection interfaces.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
