Looking for a Project Engineer to support the technical delivery, implementation, and operation of BESS projects—ranging from commercial and industrial (C&I) sites to small-utility scale installations.
This is a hands-on role perfect for someone looking to deepen their technical expertise in cutting-edge energy storage solutions. You’ll work in both factory and field environments, contributing to the successful rollout of advanced energy technologies that support a cleaner, more reliable grid.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support the engineering and execution of C&I and small utility energy storage projects.
- Assist in design development, including sketches, specs, and system layout planning.
- Prepare and manage BESS design packages in line with relevant standards and safety protocols.
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and third parties to align design and implementation efforts.
- Coordinate third-party engineering inputs where required.
- Ensure timely project delivery, reporting, and documentation handover.
- Gain hands-on experience with on-grid, off-grid, and micro-grid storage systems.
- 4–6 years’ experience in electrical or project engineering roles.
- Exposure to switchboard/substation design, control systems, and transformers.
- Background in cable routing, earthing design, and energy systems integration.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards, legislation, and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail, team-oriented mindset, and problem-solving ability.
- Experience with renewable energy or energy storage projects.
- SCADA systems or energy management software familiarity.
- Basic programming/PLC experience.
- Understanding of grid-tied and off-grid systems.
- Valid electrical safety certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Further qualifications in Medium Voltage design are a plus.
