Our client are seeking a Business Development Specialist to play a key role in the long-term strategic growth of the business. This in-house position is focused on identifying new market opportunities, building high-value external relationships, and establishing partnerships that support sustainable expansion.
This role suits a commercially minded professional who enjoys thinking big-picture, opening doors, and shaping future growth rather than closing day-to-day sales.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Market Identification
- Identify new markets, channels, customer segments, and product opportunities for growth
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess industry trends and expansion potential
- Evaluate opportunities and recommend strategic growth initiatives
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic partners, distributors, and key industry stakeholders
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking forums
- Negotiate and structure partnerships and commercial agreements aligned to the company’s growth strategy
- Develop and qualify new leads and strategic opportunities for handover to the sales team
- Establish scalable channels and partnerships that support long-term revenue growth
- Increase brand visibility through external engagement and thought leadership
- Work closely with sales, product, and finance teams to ensure new opportunities are commercially viable and operationally supported
- Develop business cases, proposals, and presentations for internal stakeholders
- Support the integration of new initiatives into existing products and offerings
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to see the big picture and drive long-term value
